What is a tiffin service? Indian dinners in Munich

Practical guidance for your dinner routine in Munich, from the DesiKhana team.

DesiKhana is coming soon. Ordering is not open yet; this guide describes our planned offer.

An everyday Indian meal tradition

Tiffin can refer to different meals in different regions and daily routines. At DesiKhana, we use it for vegetarian Indian weekday dinners in Munich. The food arrives prepared; it is not a meal kit of raw ingredients.

Tiffin service or a restaurant order?

Our tiffin offer focuses on an everyday routine and a changing published menu. Compare the daily dish, available delivery dates and plan terms rather than assuming an à la carte restaurant menu. We do not promise lunch service or immediate on-demand delivery.

What does a meal include?

The exact contents depend on the published daily menu. Ask about portions, sides and spice before purchasing if you have specific expectations. Photos and example dishes do not establish what will arrive on a different delivery day.

How should I compare prices?

Read the total and derived price per meal together with validity, available dates and any delivery charges. DesiKhana lists single meals and bundles in its current catalog. A bundle is not an unlimited monthly subscription; renewal needs separate consent.

Do I need a reusable tiffin container?

You do not need your own tiffin container for DesiKhana. Meals arrive in sealed disposable trays, with rotis in aluminium foil. The term tiffin service does not mean reusable steel containers are supplied.
